Default Zune software

How does the Zune software run for everyone here? It runs like absolute dog poo on my computer that isn't THAT old and isn't THAT slow...at all....I have a huge library...around 15k-20k songs...is that why the software runs SO slow and sluggish? I mean it's getting to the point where I don't want to add anything to my zune because the software runs retarded on my computer. I've done recent virus checks and spyware checks and everything seems to be running alright...I'm almost considering getting a memory upgrade or perhaps even a new computer or laptop so I can have a good Zune software experience. Although I do not believe I should have to resort to spending more money to get a program to function properly.

Please help, and am I the only one??!

nope, it runs slow on my computer!
Things to try, delete unwanted programs!
Also, try defraging your hard drive!
you need a defragger to do that, but you can download them for
free and that is one problem for computer slowness!
Also, dont buy a new computer, if anything, get more ram installed,
that determines the speed of the computer!

But I have decent ram and a decent processor....so it shouldn't be this sluggish. And I have over 80 free gigs....so it can't be a memory thing. What else could it be?

Is it perhaps because I have Windows XP and not Vista?

I have xp and my computer software ran slow at first then i found out what it was (in my case of course), turn off the option in settings where the zune automatically searches for album & song info, it is probably what is making it slow. once i turned this off it was great. you have so many songs and it is probaby trying to reset everything you have on them and its making it run slow. make sure you dont have any podcasts downloading that makes it slow as well.

Just run the process, Zune.exe, at a higher priority level.

It's unfortunate that the software is running sluggishly for you, however, what are the exact technical specs of your computer? How much of the hard drive is used? 15k-20k worth of songs is a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if your music collection is the reason, although I'll concede that the Zune software is FAR from perfect. I store all of my media on an external HDD which I carry around with my laptop as well as on my desktop. That allows my laptop to perform better.
