I have gone through and cleaned up my whole music collection and still have a few discrepancies. First of all, I have edited all my tags to properly show album name, album artist, song artist, genre, song title and album artwork in the "collection" portion of the zune software. Looking at the pic below, it shows I have 268 artists, 518 albums and 1965 songs in my collection.
![]() But when I click on "device" and then "music", it shows that I have 277 artists, 539 albums and 2010 songs. ![]() I have always had my Zune set to "sync all" so whenever I add music to my computer it automatically updates my Zune library and automatically adds the songs to my Zune when I plug it in. It bugs the hell out of me that I have gone through the painstaking task of cleaning up my collection only to realize the discrepancies here. Anybody have or had this problem and can help me make it right? Let me know, thanks in advance.

Easy to fix, I run into this problem all the time!
First of all you need to delete all the music on your zune by going to device and deleting everything or by going to settings! Then re-sync your zune because probabley after you re-synced your zune, double copies of the same music was put on! Also, when your zune device is plugged in, to get rid of the option to sync your music automatically, go to settings and then find the option where it says sync device when zune is connected and unclick it! That should solve your problems! |

I had a problem similar to that when I updated my music library, edited all my tags and then updated the folder that my software looked at for my music. I then coppied everything that my media software was using over to my other comper (after deleting everything that was already on there). I updated my media software there to only look in the folder that I had put all the music in and for some strange reason the numbers between the two didn't quite match. I still haven't figured out why.

Well at least I know what to do if I get that problem when I get my zune. I suspect that my problem with the computers is just human error, or at least I'm hoping that's the case. I'm not too worried about it though.
