How Do You Find Other Zune Owners?

Let's face it, Zune isn't as ubiquitous as other media players; it can be hard to find another Zune owner out there. But one Los Angeles area Zune owner has taking matters into his/her own hands to find other Zune owners. Using Craigslist's strictly plutonic section, they posted a request to get together to trade songs. The best part of the whole message was when they mention how iPods break too easily. While some may think this is pretty pathetic, Craiglist is a great source to find tons of things. From a job, to what's going on in your community, and even a relationship, so why not us it to find other Zune owners?

The posting has since been taken down, but this begs the question, how do you find other Zune owners?

I know I personally have preached the gospel of Zune since I picked one up over a year ago. In the process, I've got many to convert from the dark side (yes, you know what side I'm talking about). I can tell you it was frustrating at first, but now it seems I can't walk down the mall without finding someone with a Zune.

So how 'bout you? How have you found other Zune owners? Let us know...

Aside from meeting a few here, not many besides one of my old roommates and my Cousin.

most of my friends are anti-apple fan boys. Like 6 of us have a Zune.

Well, I mostly just find them around school, or at the gym. The only times I ever turn on my wifi to find ppl is if I see a zune, but even then no one has the updated firmware.

How to find other zune owners? Persuade you friends into BECOMING zune owners. It's going to take plenty of word of mouth for it to gain popularity. I praise to my zune to my friends anytime I get.

well i got one because my friend had one and i thought it was awesome and completely better than the ipod in all aspects, so i knew he had one. i convinced like 3 of my friends to buy one. and they convinced friends. i'm also finding that some of my friends have a zune haha. learn something new everyday right?!=P i think it would be awesome to have one of those hotspots for zune's in seattle, especially since MS's HQ is like 10 minutes away.

I think there ought to be some kind of thread on here to help people find other zuners in their areas. And if there is one already, it should be better advertsied because i searched for a whole day and didn't see anything like it

well i only know one other person but he sold it to his brother. but my cousin said he was going to get one because he thought it was cool and i have the first gen. imagine if i have the 80 gig.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm in boston and it seems everyone owns an ipod here. I still wouldn't trade in my Zune for one though.

I'm the only one I know with a Zune. I've tried scanning for other Zunes on public transit, but nobody else seems to have one with WiFi enabled.

Oh well, I bought it because it was a compact 80GB player that wasn't made by Apple, so for that I'm very happy with it.

i only have one friend with a zune.... i randomly did a search for nearby on my zune and found some guy named dylan... that was pretty cool.

I do the same thing, When I get on a bus or a large area that has lots of people or lots of people with headphones. Thought You call tell who's listening to an iPod because the white headphones and that the blaring noise sounds like crap(the headphones rattle)

Heck yea those headphones are cheaper then the Zune version 1 stock headphones.

eh. most of the people I've shown my Zune to in the few days I've had it...they looked at me funny when I said "Zune".

i guess they assumed it was an iPod.
