Default Is the Zune 80 able to play mp4 videos?

I honestly thought it could,

But I uploaded a few family guy episodes and they won't playback,

I get "the item is missing or can't be played" error.

Any help on how to get them on/play would be great.

Maybe it's ipod mp4 format. I don't think the zune will play those. Anyway, try converting them to .wmv and see if they work.

i don't know then, they should be able to play on your zune. you should try converting one into mp4 or wmv and sync it and see if it works.

Edit: lol you posted before me. also there is a free converter in the zune talk forum if you don't have one

Try doing a hard reset, then resynching. Also, make sure there aren't any codecs on the MP4.

For freeware converters, check the link in my signature.

I get the same error. The Zune will play .MP4 files (since all of my videos are .MP4 files), but sometimes they won't work. I'm not sure why since I never change my settings, but this error usually requires me to re-sync the device or re-convert the video.

i dont know if this will help or not, but i do know that all of the converters i have tried using have 2 different M4A formats. Ipod .M4A and Zune .M4A. not sure if there is a difference or not, but as CameleonMK said, they might be ipod m4a.
