Maybe they sold less because the batteries were dead?
I know a ton of people with Zunes. I really don't understand why people buy iPods anymore.

There are plenty of reasons to buy an iPod. Even still, seeing an electric product on display that's been scratched up and pretty much destroyed can't be good for it's image.

wait for it.... wait for it.
There is not a single retail shop IN MY COUNTRY (New Zealand) that stocks zune.
youd think atleast one of the 4 million people would have sold them but no....
I had to import mine so glad i did. Except one of my best mates is an ipod fan-boy, so it has been the cause of many arguements, cos im not one to get arguementative

Default MY BEST BUY

The best buy i went to was great. They had the zunes and ipods on the same table (and the other side was the other MP3 players) and dividing the two was the itouch and the 80 right next to eachother. Of course i was on the right side (the zune side) And i got their last 4gb.

In Puerto Rico, there many Zunes around. A lot of ppl still buys the Ipod (don't know why). At least, me and my friends kinda have a Zune community. We all own the Zune and we go to eachother's houses and share music, vids and all in our Zune. We also encourage anyone to go for a Zune instead a stupid Ipod. I'm a Zune fan and always will be.

When I went to Best Buy here last all the Zunes were charged and set up. I saw a lot of people going back and forth between the Zunes and the ipods comparing menues and how they feel. That was also the first time I had been able to see one since I`m in Canada. (I`ve been waiting for the Canadian release to order a Zune originial, much easier than getting a friend in the states to order it and have it shipped up). I had never realized how nice the touchpad could be until I used it.

Zune discrimination isn't confined to just Best Buy. At the Walmart here in town all the iPods are displayed at the end of the aisle so everyone walking by the electronics section can see them. Zunes and all other portables live further down the aisle so you purposely have to walk down there to even know they are there. But at least Zunes seems to be selling fairly well. About half the times I'm in there they're either sold out or there are only a few on the shelves.

The sales rep looked in amazement. I told him he must be new there. He wasn't. He had been working there for a year and a half. Is that sad or what?
I bought my laptop from Circuit City and when I looked at it in the store the sales rep would not ring it up without something added onto it. I repeatedly said I just wanted the computer and he kept trying to convince me to buy an extended warranty, laptop accessory pack, useless software, or a bullcrap setup service. I finally gave up with him, ordered it online, and picked it up the next day.

The real problem is the fact that iPods have been the dominating player in the market for quite some time now. People are sheep.
If their friends buy an iPod, they will.
If a product has a goddamn lower case i in the name these days it's enough to sell it, regardless of quality.

Let's grab a Sharpe and go to all electronic stores and let's draw an i to the Zune. Some people will be so stuipd and go like "OMG, there's an iZune. I must have it". Problem solved!
