Zune 30 on second computer

I have my zune 30 running perfectly on my desktop computer(everything, but games) and i recently got a new laptop. I installed the software with no problems whatsoever, i can sign in and everything else, except when i connect my zune, it doesn't even know it's there. So, what i want to know is, can it work? , am i doing something wrong?

That happened when my buddy got his zune. His box loaded everything just fine, but it wouldn't recognize the zune itself. What we had to do was click on the new hardware manager in the taskbar, and manually install the zune.
