Default Going to try and get some free premium's.


I'm about to call zune customer support, and explain how my zune 30 earbuds have "broken", and I need a replacement. I'm hoping that they send me some premiums like a lot of people have received. So for anyone that has called them, weather your earbuds are broken or not, anything I should like.. know?

I have a Zune 8 and the base in my earbuds died. I called them in and they were nice and everything. They agreed to send me replacements which arrived in about 3 days. No premiums though

I was hoping for premiums :p

Lol, thats too bad. I'm getting normal ones I think... lol, they asked if they were premium or not and I had to say no, b/c they checked the serial number.

They sent me premiums. They also said that they were going to send me another box to send in my "broken" ones and never did. I don't think it's worth the effort on their part.

Nice, but did they clarify which earbuds you had while on the phone? because they asked if I had the premiums.. and i had to say I didn't(since they checked the SN # of my zune) so i think i'm just getting stock.

They didn't ask but they did ask for my S/N so they might have just gone off that.

I've been trying to find pictures of backs of Zunes where some idiot forgot to blur the SN. Zune 80s that is.

yeah, but even if you know the Sn #, they make you confirm your adddress/#/email...

The only problem with that is that you have to register the zune to use the warranty. When I called they verified my full name and address to make sure that it was the same that was listed when I registered.

I love mine and they still work perfectly. The rubber at the base has split, though, and it's driving me INSANE just by looking at it. The earbuds won't cut out so I can get new ones, though. I usually need new headphones every few months, but these have held up amazingly...they suck.

I'll tell u if I somehow get premiums, but as of right now it looks as though I'm just getting the stock ones.(v2 though if i'm correct)

Well if they're anything like Apple they'll ask for a credit card number to make sure that you ship back what was broken. If you don't they'll just charge the card.

Well, A. They don't have my credit card #, and B. He explained the processs and didn't mention sending them back. So, I think i'll be fine... I believe it's only the premiums they have you send back.
