Default fastest and most efficient video converter?

I've been using a combo tagteam of Encode360 and Crazi Video for Zune. Question: whats everyone elses preferred converter? whats the fastest?

I prefer WinAVI converters, those are the fastest to me, but it all depends on what cpu you got also.. since i'm using AMD 4800+ (2.5 ghz x2) really depends...

I'm using SUPER, and it seems very efficient. It has loads of features, and gets the job done for me. When it's not encoding it seems very light as well. However, speed is largely dependent on the hardware you're using. A Core 2 Duo will perform these tasks MUCH faster than a Pentium 4 even with the same amount of RAM.

I get about this on a 700 MB Movie:

Time varies with current cpu load.

I use Windows Movie Maker. It didn't need to be downloaded either. I just went to
Start > Run > moviemk.exe and it runs.

Personally, I use Encode360. I heard good things about Super, but it doesn't work for me.

Neither Super or Encode360 worked for me, i tried DVD-WMV as well and it seemed ok until it needed reencoding to go on the zune.
My PC is rubbish so it takes forever, but i use Xilisoft Video Converter, its easy to use and very customisable
