Buying my Mom a Zune

Ever since I won my Zune from Pepsi, my mother and I have fallen in love with it. And her birthday is coming up soon, so I'm purchasing a pink 8gb for her.

So far, I've set up an appointment to get 'Happy Birthday Mom' and a rose engraved on the back. (her middle name is rose) Does anybody have any other ideas on how to make it special-er?

Holy crap dude, that's a great idea!! lol. The rose pic/middle name thing is pretty tight as well. All I can say is, i'm not sure if like she wants to open it straight outa the box, but you could browse around the internet and find as much music as you can that you think she'd like, and like have it pre-loaded when she opens it. Then she doesn't have to go through the tedious steps right away, she'll be able to enjoy right outa the box.

Gift wrap it, put music and videos she'd like, and set it up for her on a computer. When it comes to my parents, they can use computers to do whatever they want but sometimes they need help with the setup.

pretend its a chocolate gift, try to open the chocolate first, try to put the zune in there somewhere.. and the wrap it up neatly

I would say put in 10 boxes, and start off with a huge box and keep getting smaller. The suspense will kill her.. Hopefully not though.. that would suck to die on her birthday

Well, I think I might get her a Zune Pass. And I'd be the one putting the music on, since my dad uses Linux and is constantly using his computer and I'm constantly using mine, I'd just plug hers in and ask what she wants. But I do have all her episodes of Alias to put on for her.

Runt: I like that idea. That would be funny. She'd think I saved up so much money for just chocolate. XD

or some special clothing in a good looking box and hiding the zune in also

any box that has something else in it is a good place to hide it and a surprise always

That's cool! Why not put some pictures of you all on it? And yeah, putting some of her favorite music and videos on it is good too. She can listen as soon as she realized what it is.

Wow your a good son. I like the pictures idea. Along with music add some family photos in it. Maybe one where you all hold up a sign that says Happy birthday Mom. We love you very much.
