I don't think that it was a good thing that it was being sold there. Just like how you can now buy iPods and headphones from a vending machine...just out of place.

Exactly. It was stupid in my opinion. Gamestop is known for having horrible customer service already. Buying a device from them is a no-go.

yea, and if you try to trade anything in they give you 25 cents. I dont go to that store anymore.

This isn't surprising or anything. Gamestop should just stick with screwing over customers buying video games.

im glad that gamestop sells zune they are the only place where i live that admit that they are better than the ipods

actually they are the same price as in regular stores

if it werent for gamestop i probably wouldnt even have a zune because i learned about the zune through gamestop

a lot of you think that gamestop is not the place for zunes, but why does it hurt to have another HUGE retail chain carrying it? it's actually too bad that gamestop doesnt carry them anymore because a lot of the other big-box retailers have huge displays for ipod+ipod accessories, but nothing of the sort for zune. when i was stateside i had to almost get down on my knees to look in the bottom display case to find my zune... the store barely even acknowledged that they carried them.
with gamestop carrying only the zune im sure it helped give it some exposure due to the fact that it was not shadowed by the ipod, a few people in this thread can confirm that.
though it wasnt bringing in the numbers gamestop was hoping for, and the overall sales of the zune probably wont be too affected by the product being pulled from the shelves, it still sucks that the zune wont be receiving the exposure it was from being the ONLY DAP on the shelves of the biggest video game retailer in the US.
