Default Best Buy Revenge :)

so here it goes,

im at best buy a couple of weeks ago looking at the zune 80's with my freind cause he wanted to buy one. so we are looking at them and i turn it on and the assholes didnt even set it up. the same with the zune 8's. so we play with the ipod touch and wala they even set up the friggen wifi on the ipod touch.... can you say bias? so i ask the salesman why they dont set up the zunes cause all they have to do is plug them in to activate them and he tells me that zunes are inferior and why would i want one anyways when ipods are so much better because they are from apple....yeah.....right... so of course i rip this guy a new ******* with the stuff that is wrong with the ipods and i was still mad.

so im over looking at the laptops and what do you know... i see a salesman ripping off someone by selling them a friggen eMachines desktop for like $900 and tells them its top of the line.... so heres where the revenge comes in.

the geek squad isnt too great at setting up the security on the computers they have out... so i find the 3 biggest peices of crap they have on the floor and are charging out the ass for them and i have some fun...

resetting the administrator passwords in under 15seconds on each of them with the best buy guys standing no more than 5 feet away.

heres how its done....

start, run, cmd

type "net users"

find the best buy account name its usually experience or best buy

then type "net users "experience" *
then type your new password....

when it shuts down they wont be able to log onto those pieces of crap without reinstalling vista....

Man, that's like, disgraceful. how is zune supposed to sell if salesmen that have no idea what they're talking about are convincing people NOT to buy them. W/e, glad to see you got your revenge.

Yeah, best buy is extremely biased. You need to know what you're looking for before you go in

Glad to see you got your revenge.
I would be pretty angry too if some Best Buy salesman tells me that the zune is inferior.

For some reason, a part of me thinks this should be in the Flame section

This is an example for other people, the "experience" is the username (no quotation marks)

Good story, It gave me a laugh

your right experience is the username but you should use the quotation marks because any username with a space needs them for the command to run

i seriously wanted to jump over the counter and beat the salesman with a lead pipe... or strangle him with the zune usb cord that they dont friggen use!!! muahahahaha

post on zune.net forums for the world and MSFT to see

That is really unfortunate that the salespeople behave like that where you're from. Where I live, they are at least partially knowledgeable. I used to be a Geek, but have since moved to a different company and job, and our store was not too bad at keeping up to date. I should let you know that changing the admin password will take all of two mins to fix. They may also not even notice, since the salespeople rarely reboot the machine. They can pop in the Best Buy computer image disc, it runs, and restores the machine, there's not much more to it.

A better revenge would have been to make the mouse left-handed or something like that. Or maybe play dumb and have the salesperson feed you all kinds of BS before replying.

Nice. In my experience, most big-box stores have idiots as employees. Way to stick it to the man!

I agree, I asked a BestBuy salesman why the Zune's were dead, and the ipods were fully charged. He said the Zune's get used alot..... If they were plugged in, they wouldn't die.

i went to go look for mine at Best Buy before i went to buy.com - the sales chick at the store was dumber than hell, worse than paris hilton if thats possible...

I asked her to take me to where the Zunes were and she stood there and said 'I think your in the wrong store'

i was about to slap that B**** across the store.

so i then asked where the Ipods were and of course was taken there in seconds. The Zunes were next to the HUGE ipod display and so i asked her to get the a zune 8 for me and she said 'Well you didnt ask for me to take you to these, you asked for an Ipod. So do you want an Ipod or not?"

i left.

This is why I never ask many questions at a store. I do my own research so I know what I want when I go. But, why would a sale clerk at bestbuy care about comparing Zunes and Ipods? Isn't that the buyers choice to decide which they like better? And a sale is a sale is it not? Ipods aren't anymore expensive afterall. . .

The only store that even slightly represents the Zune is Staples. They don't have ipods on display, only Zunes. And Circuit City had their Zunes set up too, and I never got told about how my Zune was a piece of **** by anyone there, so they're okay. But all the people at best buy are assholes. :/

I went into Best Buy, and I watched a guy tell one of their clerks that he didn't want an iPod and was trying to decided on something else, with out an iPod option the kid didn't know what to do. After watching the clerk point at all non-iPods because that is all he knew about them, the customer narrowed it down between Sony and Zune. I stepped in and sold the Zune for him, and the customer walked out with an 80 Gig on the spot. The manager was also watching the spectacle and offered me a job. I told him I couldn't afford the pay cut.
