Default Zune replacement earbuds


So i'm curious... what happens when you call microsoft asking for a replacement set of earbuds!? It seems like a lot of people that have the normal stock earbuds have managed to get premium ones by calling microsoft, and example being here
So whats up? If I call saying my 8 gig earbuds are broken, will they just send me new ones?

I think if your zune is still under warranty they'll ship you new ones, but I think someone said that now they're asking for the broken ones to be sent to them.

i just went to fye and got the on-sale skull candy earbuds for like 5 bucks, we'll worth it, they filter out all outside noise, to let you enjoy your music, without having it cranked, and they provide the silence that the outside world can't hear your music.

i really want skullcandy, but my brother had his broken a few weeks back and he only had it since last year in november....but if its only 5 dollars i might get myself a pair

I've called 2 times, about 3 months back. As you probably know the Premium only comes in the Zune 80. I have a Zune 4, the lady really had no clue, and i told her I had the premium headphones before, 2 weeks later they shipped.

Next time I called I got the regular pair.


The next time I call, i'm just going to ask for a SYNC wire, because I hate slugging it from my PC to my Xbox 360.

It depends on whether or not the person you get knows what headphones come with your Zune.

haha wow im on the phone now with a horrible new foreign worker...oh so horrible, but he tells me I need a receipt? He said he will still process my order without it, but I will need to show the mail man my reciept, wtf? Wow, seems unreal, but hopefully I can get some Premiums in the mail! Jw, How long does it usually take for the order to come in?

false. they will give you regular. But ppl like zune 80 will get premiums

But don't the zune 8/4's come with premium? If so, then that sux.

mine broke. and my mom threw them out

This asian lady would couldnt speak english wants it back.. they sent me a new pair

well, if there sending them to you, wait till you get em then either A. Don't send anything back, or B. when they call, just say you lost them.. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make you send your new earbuds back.

3-5 days.. or something like that. I got my replacement USB cable in like 4 days I think.

It depends. When I called, the woman was really nice, and said she would send me free Premium headphones even though I have a 30... it all just depends on unknown variables...

well if they ask for it, they will send you regular ones, but if they don't ask for your broken one backs.. and you can/might be able to lie and ask them for premium lol

WOO HOO! I hope I get my premiums soon! 3-7 days! Cant wait! I advize everyone to do this before they might stop doing this or catching on to the work around...

Well ****, I'm gonna' call and tell them my Premiums from my 80 went to **** and hope I get another set of premiums...sucky part. My premiums really did go to ****.

i'd take the 10 minutes to go to the store and spend 5 bucks then having to wait for anything :/ i still have my original earbuds, and i have the skull candy ones.
