i would recommend you spending your $40 wisely picking carefully.. people say Skull Candy FMJ(full metal jacket) is good.. and i say JVC Marshmallow is good.. those range from $8-$50 if you can find it cheap.

I decided to just list some of the in-ears I'd recommend (based on personal experience and trustworthy opinions of others) in each range under $100. I assumed you wanted in-ears, but I can list other designs also, larger 'phones will generally have better sound quality in the comparable price range, compared to in-ears.

$13 Koss KSC75 (Clip-on) $18 Panasonic RP HJE300 $12-20 JVC Marshmallow (HA-FX33) $20 - $40 USD: $21-30 JVC Air Cushion (HA-FX66) $40 Yuin PK3 too lazy to get link for it... but those are pretty good listed from another site ![]()
