Default How many have owned a zune that hasn't broken.

Well, I got into an argument with my bro about weather zune or ipod was better, and being he has never even looked at my zune, he's going off one thing. 4/6 of my friends have had to return their zunes for new ones, and he says ipods are better because they don't break so easily. So, I'm asking you all, how many of you have had no problems?

I own two Zunes (30 and 80, selling the 30 soon). I have owned the 30 since last June, and my 80 since February and neither has broken/needed repair.

I bought my zune 30 in March of last year, dropped it around five times, and its still running perfectly. I have owned the 2nd and 3rd ipod nano generations and let me tell you I have never seen anything built so cheap. I mean cheap.

I think the reason people might see issues isn't their own doing. i.e. it's not something you would necessarily "do to it". If people are having issues, then the device itself may be defective. This is much different than many iPods, which are fairly fragile in my experience.

My Zune 4 is going strong after a month of ownership.

Ipods are crap in terms of durability (and other aspects as well, but that's a discussion for another day). And the Zune 30 is more or less an unbreakable tank. While I had to replace my Zune 80 once, it was due to a software glitch, unfortunately for me.

My first one broke within my first 2 weeks of ownership. Second one is doing well.

My first and still my currently only I guess 30 gig is still going strong since November, I've only dropped it like twice about 3 months ago and nothing happened. I just received a second one for free, like the first, yesterday and so far no problems that I know of.

I'd imagen that most of Zune returns are due to impedance or software glitches.

As for me, mine is doing fine.
