Had a really clicky hard drive right out of the box. Returned it to best buy within the first week and the replace is perfect

Default here's the tally:

iPod touch 8gb = returned once (faulty screen)

iPod touch 16gb = returned 5 times ( 2x faulty screens, 1 battery failure, 2 case breaks)

ipod nano 1st generation = Replaced twice ( LCD problem)

iPod U2 = Repaired under warranty twice, then replaced on the 3rd time (battery failure both times, still haev the replacement)

iPod classic 160gb = Repaired under warranty four times (Hard drive failure once, screen twice and casing issues)

I've bought one zune. One. I've had it a couple of months now, and aside from the little bit of dust under the screen it works fine. In fact It's already broken the record for any return faults I've made where I've had to hand my iPod back into the apple store.

The simple fact is, as long as Microsoft continue with the build quality, they have a regular customer in me. In fact, I think the only thing that beats it for quality and stability, is my PSP.

Zune is SOOO much better than iPod, especially the new generations of iPod...the iPod mini was pretty sturdy, but these new 5th and 6th generations (i think) are crap.

I've had mine for almost a year now, I take it to school and back, and most of the time its in my pocket. No problems so far!

I had my 30 since they came out, used it for a year, got an 80, gave the 30 to my dad who uses it a lot still. My 80s battery completely died after about 4 months. I basically over charged it(my bad). I sent it in and got a new one within a week or two.

Well I have dropped my Zune on the pavement a few times...hasn't broken, and only has a few nicks and chips.
Compared to my Zune, my other mp3/mp4 players haven't done so well....
My Creative Zen Micro 5's headphone jack got loose and unusable 3 times...2 times replaced under warranty, and the last time I opened it up and fixed it myself...
