I can proudly say that my Zune has never been broken.

i cant say i havent broken one myself... my first zune, i had in my backpack and being the teenager i am, forgot that it was in there when i threw my bag down a flight of stairs... zune was perfectly fine however other than i had to reinstall the firmware

but.... i let the battery wear down the next day, after i had listened to it the day before after the accident. when the battery died, i plugged it into my computer and it wouldnt even start up. so i spent hours with the customer support on the phone trying different ways to get it to start up and eventually they said they would send a box for me to ship it back to them and they would take a look at it since it was still under warranty... they ended up just sending me a new one and that is the one that i have now. its been through some abuse, but its a zune... and therefore it can withstand (almost) anything.

I had my Zune since February, 2007 and it has never broken since.....when i get my zune 80 i hope my luck continues.

Dropped my Zune from 10 feet in the air. A few unnoticeable chips but I have no problems with the device itself. The ipod definitely won't be able to handle that fall. Tell THAT to your dumbass brother.

i have had my zune 30 for a year and a half and i use it regularly. I've had no maintenance issues with it. I did have an ipod shuffle that broke within months of purchase, however...

My Zune 30's screen cracked randomly (yes, randomly). I think it's defective, but MS wouldn't do anything about it. It still works though, although I only have half a screen.

Guess I have no option in the poll.

THEY ALL BROKE
He has had just about every problem you can imagine from a cracked screen right out of the box to fried hardware

he switched to a zune and hasnt had a problem

I've yet to have any problems at all with my baby.

iPods, however, I've had two of them, and both have ****ed up on me in some way, shape or form.

i've had my zune30 since last summer without a single problem. it's never been dropped, or taken any shocks for that matter so that helps. good thing too because it would be a pain in the ass for me to get any warranty service here in canada.
i plan on upgrading to an 80gb when they become available here... hopefully it works as well as this one

i actually just successfully repaired my zune today. i got a new lcd screen in the mail and had it swapped out in a matter of minutes, as i had cracked the original one. i find the zune 30 to be very mod/repairable, i aready switched out my hdd for a 60gb a while back. next probable mod: higher mAh battery, tho a solid state drive would be nice to have one day...

My zune hasn't broke since I got it over a year ago.

However it did get stolen.... And managed to get it back unscathed.

Wife Zune purchased brand new in 07' never an issue works flawless. I purchased a 30 gig of ebay and it had problems randomly shutting off. Finally got sick of it and picked up an 80 gig, hopefully it works as well as the misses zune.
We started our portable mp3 life with an Ipod nano and both hated it (also constant shutting off) and iTunes sucked then.
