Default Show Zune as Portable Drive
Just figured out to show the Zune as a portable drive!!
I'm just uploading a video on how to do it on Youtube © (I think its copyrighted?)...
We'll see if it works after, and I hope no one else has already discovered how to do this!
I'll tell the link as soon as it's done uploading the thing...

It's been discovered. The hack is available on these boards, in fact, I believe a member here came up with it probably like a year or two ago. Please use the search function in the future.

No, no, this is on Vista...
With the new Zune software, the registry keys have been changed (so it seems) and if you had already seen the Zune on "My Computer" it isn't there anymore (not to me anyways).
I'm using Vista Home Premium, maybe its because of that, but one way or the other, the registry key to change it is not in device parameters.
Don't worry, I know people discovered it before, this is just an update for the new firmware (that's what it's calld?) xD

That would suck if it's just my computer (wasted 2 hours...)
I had done the registry hack before and it worked fine, but after a while (when I downloaded different software) the Zune didn't show up!
Could be only a Vista problem.
Oh, by the way, video is being uploaded right now to Youtube.

Then you should make that clear, especially since you're new to the forums. Someone did the same thing a while back, using the hack available on this site.

Sorry guys, somehow I made a 20 min. video (max is 10), trying to find another site that will accept the 20 min. one. Have any sugestions?

Update: Found one (Google Video)

The video seems to still be processing, but it says the video is on Google (Live)...

hmm....i know this was done before, but on Vista? I don't know, but still none the less, good job on trying and doing man! I know how you must have felt, discovering something like this. You should be proud of yourself man.
