I thought this was only for a preview release of the games, not the actual ones.

Well if this is released to the public then there would have to be at least a small update. Our Zunes do not have the necessary files to run games.

If I understand correctly there will be a firmware update when the XNA 3.0 beta thing is released, but you will not add/manage games in the zune software, you sync them in using the XNA tool.

The 2.5 firmware has the code in it that allows XNA custom code to be ran on your Zune.

Yes! Finally I will be able to play Zune games. I wont have someone call my zune "an ipod, but without games," which someone called it last year a few weeks after I got my first Zune.
