Default Anyone drive a Ford with SYNC?

Just wondering how many of you guys are actually using SYNC. I'm looking get a Ford Focus or a Fusion after I get my license. SYNC so far looks like the best way to integrate my Zune and my WinMo phone.

That would be a good idea, if you have the cash to buy the car/the parents have the cash to buy the car. Also that would be amazing to have a Zune friendly car.

SYNC isn't that useful.. just a bit of somewhat called integrated feature that you have to pay a lot more.. so i wouldn't recommend it..

Yeah, good grades can go a long way :P

And SYNC is actually a standard feature now. With any other car, I would have to pay extra to get an Aux-In or a new head unit. So it might save me some money.

I have a feeling I'll be using the car as a large speaker system more than actual driving.

I'd love to have a system like SYNC. But then I'd have to buy a Ford and live with that ugly Mach 3 grille they glue onto every model. Yuck!

I read somewhere that that dude was trying to change his name to Microsoft Zune. Is that the same guy? I like the Zune and all but that's just crazy.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/

Yeah, that's the same guy. It's kind of sad, when you think about it. Actually, you really don't have to think about it to realize that.

$400 is not "a lot more" money. Its not like the overpriced $1900 nav systems in the Fords....

Honestly, I've test driven a Fusion. The Sync is a nice little feature. Not a deal breaker either way, though it is the only car that I drove where I could control the Zune without having to actually grab it. It sucks that more cars don't give you the option of using any MP3 player instead of just the iPod. My boss's iPod integration in his Infiniti is amazing.

I'm still on the fence about buying the Fusion. The Sync feature won't be a major factor in my decision, but its certainly not overpriced.

When the Car show came to city, I went to it with my dad. It was cool and I saw the Ford cars with bannars every where saying SYNC technology, so I climbed in a Ford Focus and took out my Zune.( I don't go anywhere without it) and try to connect it it wouldn't work I tried multiple times it wasn't set for Zune (because it's Canada). The guy in the passenger side connected his Windows Mobile phone and it worked. I was like "wtf!" I asked one of the floor men about the problem. When I mentioned my Zune he had no Idea what it was he said he said it could SYNC with upcoming Microsoft products. (Zune? maybe) And by the way the banners all show Zune looking things, but they have more buttons and don't say any thing about Zune anywhere. So my conclution is that Ford SYNC isn't made for life in Canada! unless with out update.

We just purchased the Ford Fusion and it does have SYNC and it does work with the Zune --- well, kind of. We pay the 14.99 monthly subscription fee to Zune. All the songs we have downloaded from Zune Marketplace do not play...the display says PROTECTED. Any songs we ripped from CD or already had on our computer play fine. We haven't synced the Zune in over a month so not sure if that would make a difference. Will try that and see but if it doesn't, seems like a rip off that even though we pay the monthly fee we can't listen to the songs in the car....it's not like we are sharing them...just listening thru the radio.

I'm in the car repair biz and I haven't heard to great things about SYNC, but I do know Dodge has something better than sync. Also they have storage out the wazoo!

A lot more for? The SYNC system is $400, and its more than worth it. I bought an 08 Fusion a month ago, and the SYNC has been great. I've found that anytime I get pissed about it not understanding me, it was because the song was tagged wrong or had strange characters in it. Other than that, its been bulletproof, even at highway speeds with the windows and sunroof open....

Something is wrong then, because 98% of the 25 gigs of music on my Zune are from the Zune Pass, and they play just fine....

I can semi-agree with the first one, but the second one is outrageous!
