Uh, well... Good for them? The problem is, in the time it took them to raise enough money, the 2nd generation Zunes came out, which are excellent iPod alternatives, at least as good as their iPod counterparts.

That would be hilarious, all those people getting ripped off. However, it looks like the highest donation was about $20, so it's not like anyone lost a significant amount of money.

But i'd still be pissed if I was stupid enough to donate to a cause like that, and then see nothing in return. The kid probably realized that he needed a new mp3 player and bought one using the money.
