Target is Discontinue the 80 GB Zune

I work at target and they are saying that they are discontinuing the zune who wants to help get it back

They are going to discontinue the zune? Hmmm, I don't think I will bite on this one. Can't imagine that they will discontinue a line that is growing in popularity, especially since they carry Sony and low end mp3 players.

I find this hard to believe, but I won't say it's impossible. It just seems improbable.

I'm not surprised. At the closest Target to me they have an entire aisle dedicated to iPod stuff and all the other mp3 players are thrown together somewhere else. It took a bit of searching to even find them.

Wow discontinue the zune...is Target nuts! Zune = Hottest Mp3 player right now..besides apple and their itouches but still. Lol I didn't even know Target sold zunes in the first place oh well. I rather buy my zune from another store anyways. Their loss...

Before working at Target they said they only sold 2 Zunes now after I have been working at Target for 5 Months I have sold at least 40 Zunes

You've said this applies to the Zune 80, but does this also apply to the flash 4/8s as well?

Interestingly, I purchased my zune at Target and it was the only store in my local area that had Zune 80s in stock (2). Whereas, CC had them on backorder and BB could only order them.

It might be just your certain store or area. Because I have a couple good friends that work at target in my area and they say they aren't discontinuing it in all locations. Just certain regions.

if this really happens.......i will be so pissed. I heard that Target was the best place to go for Zune stuff. Will they discontinue the Zune 80 only? or the Zune product line itself?

i don't really believe that target is going to discontinue zune.. maybe in some targets... but not all... since i've seen a lot of people buying them at my area... theres no point of them discontinuing it..

Well crap, I go there and oogle all the accessories when I am there. They are out of Z80s and only have 4/8's at mine as well.
I just thought it was because the Zunes are so great that people were buying them up?!
Bummer, I never thought this was the case.
Thanks for the inside info though. Maybe some of the stuff will go on clearance sale?
