I use the Zune Pass and have an extensive collection I have accumulated over the years from ripped CDs, friends, and "other" downloads.

I have it. Wouldnt say I love it though. Especially when I finally think of the name of a song I want, only to find it's one of like two songs on that album thats unavailable.

Yeah I got a zune pass..Love it!! Easy access to alot of songs, no need to worry about not being able to get a song I like it. Because most, well almost all the albums/songs I like are in the zune marketplace and are download able on the zune pass. But yeah I love it!!! It has open up a wide variety of artists for me and my music collection is getting bigger and bigger everyday. Also no need to worry about album art issues... Just click to download, sync to my zune, and then start enjoying my music!!

Lets see.

No i dont use the pass, I dont like subscription services much. I do however use Wal-Mart Download. Except Im having a pension for Latin music now (Go figure, my Girlfriend is spanish) and Wal-Mart doesnt carry a good selection of Latin Music.

I subscribed because both my wife and I will have Zune's, so its worth it to have it on them, both of our computers and my work PC. I do have a bit of an issue with some of the songs being unavailable with it, and I wish they would work out a way to allow multiple accounts to link to it, while still staying in the restrictions. Its a pain to have to log into my wife's account to download the music, then logging out and back into my account to play it so it shows up on my Zune Card.... Other than that, its quite convenient...

i don't know. i don't think that there would be enough new music on there for me to be happy with it. I LOVE new music....but I only get new music like once a month. so it's like paying 15 bucks for one CD.

Im curious.

I hope im not offending anyone by asking this, however; why would you want to do the Zune Pass if you dont own the music? To me the idea of woning the music is much better. you can do whatever you want with it, The Zune Pass seems to me like.. renting it.

Again, not trying to offend, just looking for a thought process on this. Thanks.

I got it for a few months, and ran the music through tunebite.

jediMattX, it is renting it.

I use Spiral Frog + FairUse4W. Amazing selection on spiral frog, i will gladly help anyone who has problems with this.

And I'm confirming the legality of this site, it's ad supported, but if you have ad blockers you won't have to see any of it. Works as good as Limewire, and you don't have to worry over the minimal chance of getting caught.

I added 150+ Songs so far, joined late February, including Areosmith, Kansas, Boston, Queen, Asia, Bon Jovi. Zune software also retains the album art from it.

While I agree that it is technically like renting it, this is how I justify it. Lets say between my wife and I, we've downloaded like 40 albums this month... If you assume that albums (ok, CD's) costs only $10 each, thats $400. More realistically it would probably be $12 or $13 each. That $400 would get me almost 27 months of Zune Pass, assuming I don't ever download anything again. I'm pretty sure I will keep ahead of the curve of downloading more music than what essentially one CD would cost me. Plus its all neatly tagged and organized, something my broader music collection definitely is not. So true, you are renting it, but if you look at the overall economics, its definitely worthwhile as opposed to any legal alternatives.

That, and I Tunebite every song I download, so if for some reason I didn't want to pay $15 a month I would still have everything I downloaded...
