Call me old Fashioned I just dont like the idea of renting music. Although I soppose its the wave of the future, eh? Kinda like Netflix or something. I might just.. try it ONCE and see if I like it.
Any tips and/or tricks to keep in mind when some one (Like me) does this? --jediMatt ![]() |

Pay 15 for unlimited downloads for 1 month, spend 3 weeks downloading and then 1 week for making copies of the music through your sound card, which is what tunebite or soundtaxi will do. Oh yeah don't be disappointed if a song isn't download able through zune pass, got to remember not all music is covered on the zune pass.

i didnt find enough stuff in the marketplace that i wanted to download. i either already had it, or they didnt what ive been looking for. i would hate to be out of that music (and money) if for some reason i didnt have my Zune, so thats pretty lame.
mostly i buy CDs, unless its stuff i want to sample, I would definitely not buy, or i think is rare or collectible. for example theres a Nirvana single that sells for around $800, i just want to hear the audio (of course, someday if i can waste that money, im totally down to buy it)

Now I was under the impression that borrowing CD's and taking the music was Illegal also? Has their been a ruling I didn't hear? Because if taking from Friend's CD's are not Illegal then taking from Limewire would not be either. Correct?

I have a Zune pass and I love it also. I use it to check out new albums when they come out and see if I am going to like them enough to purchase them. Also, it's nice to just be able to go and get a song/album when your in the mood to listen to it. In the mood to listen to Jethro Tull - Aqualung just download, tired of that album just erase it off your Zune.
The way that I look at it is this, yes you may be renting the music..but don't you also pay to rent your cable tv service, your phone service, and if you rent your house then that also. No one ever complains about these items, but when it comes to renting music it's the Ultimate Sin. I for one will keep on enjoying my Zune pass and keep buying physical cd's until the day when they are no longer available. Music is music folks, as long as you get to hear it.

I don't get it mostly because I wont always have the money each month to pay for the subscription(How much is it exactly, by the way?). If I did have it though, I would fill my Zune 80 up much quicker.

I have a zune pass...but to be honest with you...I paid for it in Jan and I havent seen a another payment come out since then...but yet I still can download music all I want...I didnt get the 3 month pass either....but I would have to say zune marketplace has its ups and downs...i like the fact that I can get find songs that I think of right at that moment...but not all of songs are on there...and sometimes there are syncing problems too...but I use zune pass and I just get music from limewire or cds.....but I mostly use zune pass....
