Software really that bad?

I'm probably gonna sell my Creative Zen Vision M (filled it up) and upgrade to a Zune 80 in a month or so. My question is, is the software as bad as people say it is? I keep hearing it's a complete pile of crap, and it jumbles up album art and tags, erases songs, only transfers some songs to the Zune, freezes constantly, and syncs to your Zune for no reason. I've even heard of people praising the device, but end up returning it because of the software. I want a Zune really bad, but if the software is as bad as people say it is, I might have to go for an iPod classic...

well, i guess for some ppl it is and for others it isn't
for me the software never acts messed up
Mayb u should download if from the site and give it a go, see how u like it

No! Well... atleast for me it isn't. Everything is fine, I personally like the software. It's easy to use and easy to navigate through. Only real problem with the software for me is a tadd bit of lag. But yet again.. my computer is slow... Well yeah all I can suggest is download it from the zune official site and try it out yourself. Also smart choice with getting a zune!!!! I hope the software works good for you, and you get a Zune in the end! Zune On!!

Download the software, try it out for yourself. There are many different views on the software, and quite frankly, you need to find out for yourself.

Coming from the old software, its a big change, but if you have no experience with it, you probably wont have any problems. Out of curiousity, how much do you think you will be selling the zen for?

I all really depends on the person. The old version was absolutly horrible for me but the new one i have no problems at all. If you cant get it to install i am sure there is some post under Help on installation problems.

Try downloading the full package from Microsoft's website.

I had a lot of problem with album art and such but then I got somewhat used to the software and now i'm good with music and pictures. I'm still bad at using the video part though and I won't even go near the marketplace or the podcasts.

A little off topic but is your zen vision m 30gb or 60gb?

The software does have some annoying quirks, but it's not THAT bad, I've grown to like it as I use it more and more(granted I haven't actaully done anything regarding syncing to the zune itself) Overall, it takes a little getting used to, but by no means is a reason to not get a zune. And, you can expect microsoft to fix many of the problems..

it is a bit of a pain but the zune overall is worth it there are some ways to speed up the software like by converting videos before you sync i think it will get better over time with updates from ms one disappointment that i have is you have to use third party software to rip dvds to your zune but that really does not surprise me

True but if they really wanted to please us, they'd let us use the old Zune Software again instead of doing the impossible and fixing the current Zune Software.

The software is 7/10. It runs really SLOW on my computer, but my computer has 256mb Ram and is from 2002 so maybe thats why?

i have never used the old software is there a way to use the old software on the new fw is the old software any faster?
