Next Generation Zune?

When do you guys think the next generation zune is going to come out? End of this year? 2 years?...I figured probably 2.

probobaly less than a year, the 2nd gen came out like a year after the first gen.

I want to learn about the new features and stuff of the current zune that we hopefully will get. The Zune v2's will have a long lifespan I think.

yeah, I think I'll be okay as long as we continue to get our updates. because it doesn't matter what gen zune you have, you'll have the same capabilities as the new one you know?

One reason why i love my zune. updates! But i figure theres gonna be a point when the hardware will change dramatically that old zuners wont get upgrades.

Thats gonna be a sad day when we Older Zuners that have the current Gens (1st and 2nd) stop getting updates. But hopefully that wont be for a long long time.

True, but i still give credit to MS for actually supporting the 1st gen zunes when the 2nd gens came out. Makes you feel like someone cares. Not like you know who....

Yea for some reason I don't think the new firmware for the next gen. zune will be available for the Zune 30s. Maybe they'll make it look the same and add some stuff, but I don't think it'll be remotely close to one another

True its not like they can do hardware upgrades, which by the way would be so cool.

i hope that doesnt happen too fast. i like my zune 30 and i want a chance to own the zune 80 before the next generation comes out...........itd be sick to get every generation of zune, especially if it goes on for as long as ipod and you have like all 6 gens..

......but anyway, i guess its good if they come out with new ones often so they can keep up with apple, but i dont like it when my stuff gets out dated =[

That would only happen if they added new hardware that allowed new Zunes to do something that older ones can't. Until then, M$ is doing a great job.

I can't wait for .AVI support, although I'd still have to convert my ****ing files to a smaller size..

but microsoft don't come up with ideas that quickly.. besides adding more memory into the zune 4/8.. might have 16gb soon i think.. not sure.. lol
