It's true. To get a good rank, a major criteria is the number of linkbacks. ZuneCentive still might help though; we've got sponsors.

soon as i got my zune i google'd something like "zune hacks" and this place popped up

I found ZuneBoards in 2006 when I searched in Google, "Zune Forums"

I've known about Zune Boards for a while, but I didn't register.

I found zune boards on zune scene so to me it makes sense that they are higher.

Actually, it wasn't very easy getting a high google ranking. It was a long-term investment.

Our traffic is probably on-par with ZuneScene, but the type of hits are different. Our guests usually comes for hacks, and zune help. Thus, I started the Zunecentive program, hoping that it will create an even larger community 'feel'.

It certainly won't be the last addition though. I will soon be announcing an even greater project.
