difference between home av pack v1 and v2?

Does anybody know what the difference between the Home AV kit v1 and v2 are? This would be for use with a newest gen 80gb zune. Thanks!

zune 80 will not work with v1 of the pack.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'm getting a Z80 and I have a v1 of the dock (going to get v2 later on though), but your saying the v1 doesn't work with the Z80 (gah, everytime I see Z80 I think about my dad's 280Z). As far as the differences, the v2 has component out that's made for the Z80 (better picture quallity), but only the Z80. I think that's the only difference.

AV Pack 1 is for the first generation Zune, the Zune 30. The AV Pack 2 is for Zune 2s, like the Zune 4/8/80.

is supposed to work, the zune just doesn't fit in the dock as tightly.. the differences, i am not sure about.. what does the v1 come with? composite video outputs? aren't components a little overkill considering the resolution the zune plays anyway?

yeah as far as i know the only diffrence is the componet cable outputs, i had the V1 home packand i know have the new one the only difrences i know is the compont cable, and interchangeable faceplates for difrent zune modles

Yeah, didn't think there was too much of a difference between them except for the plates. They both still work (both have the same voltage), and they both have plugs for video-out. So it just matters if you want the plates or not and if you have a Z80. If you don't care about the fit and you have a 4/8 or 30, then you got a choice, but with the 80 you get better quality with the v2.
