Some questions about the Zune 80

I want one of these, but I need to know some stuff, if you kind folks can answer these questions for me.

1. Does the front or back scratch easily?
2. Is there an alarm clock function?
3. Can you view what year a track was recorded?
4. What is displayed on the Now Playing screen when no album art is present?
5. Is the screen quality as bad as I've heard people say it is, or does it look good?
6. Will I someday be able to use zAlternator without applying the hack?
7. Does it have a 'click' sound when you use the scroller, like on the iPod or ZVM, and can it be toggled on or off?
8. Is the hard drive really noisy?
9. How's the radio reception?
10. Does it have an idle shutdown?
11. What do you like and hate the most about the Zune 80?
12. Is it near impossible to see the screen in the sunlight?

Yes, it's a lot of questions, but it would be REALLY appreciated if someone answered them. Thanks!

7. I believe the is a small clicking noise in the headphones, nothing external.

ok im shure your asking if there better than ipods... they are alot better. more reliable and the new software has a few bugs but they are fixing it.

the screen resolution is really good.. it just depends on how well the copy of the video is.. some say that it is better than ipods

the wheel click can be toggled on and off..

the radio reception is really good but you not gonna pick up all of them that your vehicle does..

the hard drive is almost impossible to hear.. i know that with the 30gig you could put it up to your ear in a quiet room and hear it..

the now playing screen just shows the song and the info but it almost transparent, so you can see your background

the device is pretty near perfect. what u really wanna talk about is how good the software on the compy is.

I'm using the Zune 80, and i'm comparing to the iPod video 80. the difference is hardly noticeable though, so i'd call it negligible.

7. Does it have a 'click' sound when you use the scroller, like on the iPod or ZVM, and can it be toggled on or off?an internal click, yes, external, no, and it can be toggled.
8. Is the hard drive really noisy?I haven't noticed it once.
9. How's the radio reception?I've had absolutely no problems with mine. Keep in mind that your headphones are the antenna, though, so if you're headphones are under your thick coat, you'll lose signal strength.

11. What do you like and hate the most about the Zune 80?My favorite thing about it really is the big-ass, high-quality screen, my least favorite thing is it's inability to behave natively as a removable storage device.
12. Is it near impossible to see the screen in the sunlight?I work the graveyard shift so i don't really get to use it in direct sunlight. it may be worth it to note that on it's brightest setting, it's almost blinding at night :P

Thanks everyone! I'm a little disappointed about the lack of a clock and song year, but it seems like a great player otherwise.

The back is not easy to scratch...nothing like the shiny back of an iPod. The no-album-art display is cool...it shows your wallpaper, with the progress bar/song title etc. at the bottom. Better than iPod, which just shows blank.

I have heard that the hardware does support a clock...to do DRM functions only, though.

You could edit the metadata to include the year of the song in the title.

I wont answer all the questions I just want to say that the top metal cover (I think its for wifi) will scratch easily if you drop it or something not during normal use
