I guess that depends... Are you on a relatively fast computer?

As long as your PCs a P3 and you have USB 2.0 you shouldn't have any problems. My P4 2.5ghz runs everything fine and that's 5 years old. Though the new software does take about a minute to boot after I've clicked on it.

i hear skull candy headphones/ear buds are pretty good. My friend had a pair, not too bad. As for uploading stuff, it can be pretty fast or horribly slow, depends on the mood the software is in. The new Zune program is good, but still has some ways to go. Also, just a tip. Go ahead and download the zune software from zune.net and install it, get your music in it and and videos you might want. That way, on Christmas you just have to plug in your zune to your PC and hit sync, and your set.

I'm in the same situation. My Zune X-Mas gift is sitting in my wife's closet and I'm itching to start using it. In the meantime, I've got the Zune software loaded on my Desktop PC and loading up mp3 files and converting my collection of avi movies and TV shows to wmv format. I'm also learning as much as possible about how to use the Zune effectively by reading postings on Zune forums, but wait is killing me also!

That's ok, I've got a lot of stuff to do this week for work. But over X-mas break, I'll be using it a lot!
