I am at school doing this so when I get home I will fix this and make it a lot easier
So you guys all want to know how to play .avi files on zune, well, you can't. But there is a way to covert it to zune for free and everyone should have the software but almost everyone doesn't know it. Well I will teach you. Required Softwares DivX or Xvid (because to be able to play it you need a codec to watch it) DivX http://www.divx.com Xvid http://downloads.xvid.org/downloads/xvidcore-1.1.3.zip Windows Movie Maker (everyone should have this if you already updated your computer to service pack 2 but if not heres a link to it for free) Windows Movie Maker http://www.download.com/Windows-Movi...-10187903.html Steps to Convert I know that this does not work with all file extensions but in know .avi works. The ones that don't work for this, I will have a link at the bottom for a site that does convert all files but the problem is that you have to wait for it to convert then wait until it downloads to finally be able to add it to your Zune. 1. Install DivX or Xvid to your computer 2. Turn on Windows Movie Maker ![]() 3. Drag and Drop file into Windows Movie Maker (It will take some time depending on size, length and quality of video) (You also may see mine is a wmv it's just that I'm at school and I can't get a .avi file but just bare with me) ![]() 4. Drag and drop the file that has been uploaded into it on the time line ![]() 5. Go to File>Save Movie File... ![]() 6. Just follow these picture so it's easier to explain ![]() ![]() ![]() 7. When this all finishes, put it into Zune software and upload to your zune |
