New Zunes Have Faster Processor?

So with the controversy over the new Zunes' lack of an EQ, MS has said the new Zunes have a better processor and push the signal to the headphones at 32 ohms. Whatever that means, I don't know - but what I do know is that it does, in fact, have a faster processor - See the video (the video is of my Zune 80 compared to the Zune 30 - I can also say the Zune 8 also displays this faster boot up).

Maybe slightly faster. Not that much of a difference.

The difference is not noticeable. Besides, people rarely play around with their EQ, and even if they do, they end up changing it back to default, as most people don't really understand the configs--yes I know we like to look professional.

I do have to say, the Zune 80 looks very slick and yummy, makes it very tempting for an upgrade, even though I have Zune 30 already, which is enough.

Yeah mabey a hair faster but not enough for a major upgrade at this point. My 30 is good for now barring a catastrophic hardware failure anyway

I really didn't see much of a difference...you should have done it where you pressed both buttons at the same time and watched the load. I'm fine with the 30 for now...I don't think I have need for an 80 just yet, but it is prutty!

A faster processor wouldn't really change the startup speed much anyway. That would be more dependant on hard drive speeds I would think.

Both took 13 seconds according to my count. No real difference. The line jerkerd faster but the time to final display the same.

That was freaking amazing!!!! Yeah, right. Don't know that the .3 milisecond bootup increase is worth the upgrade.

I just saw the loading bar go much faster...but the wait time was about the same time as the zune30
