I put some favorite dvd's onto my zune , it works pretty good .

Not to brag but My wife works across the mall from a Dell Kiosk (well not anymore they have closed them all since they are now selling in Best Buy) They had a black Friday deal $85 for the 30 gig zune

. They only had white left but beggars can't be choosers.

yes the second gen also includes the 4 and 8 gig models

It's not that hard to get into the Zune's firmware. Besides, there are firmwares already uploaded for everyone to see.
