Zune 80GB Available 11/12 at Best Buy

Welp, Best Buy has confirmed that they will indeed be releasing the 80GB Zune on 11/12, not 11/13 as expected. Something to know and something that I will be taking advantage of.

I wouldn't put it past BestBuy...looks like Target IS selling 4 and 8 gig Zunes right now!!!

I wonder what their return policy is. Might be worth it just to get one for the marketplace, then return it.

I work in receiving\inventory at my local best buy and just got some flash zunes in (which I got to play with the demo unit. touch pad is so sweet and so is the new firmware) but on the boxes it specifically says DO NOT SELL BEFORE 11/13/07.

and best buy is not known for breaking street dates, they are very strict about that. Now target on the other hand, I agree with you.

also what are you zewbies (lol see what I did there) talking about getting the marketplace from the box. do you think a cd can fit in those boxes? you have to download it, just like the ipods. think they can fit a cd in that small package?

Yeah, this is highly doubtful now that I already tried to go buy one from Target. They realized they couldn't sell prior to the 13th and wouldn't sell.....crap....

Chances are that it was a clueless BB employee who couldn't even remember the release date. Probably just an error on the employees part.

Well, I wish you wouldn't lie to me like that. I have two official sources now.

1. Best Buy manager has told me, they will receive them on the 11th around noon, and put them out on the 12th.

I guarantee that this is true, because working in retail as a side job, I've learned that Microsoft doesn't put their products out more than 3 days ahead. I will be contacting my DM tomorrow regarding this issue and when we will be receiving them.

2: My friend also works at Best Buy (for Geek Squad, though). He has confirmed that the computers do say 11/13, but they will be released on 11/12. This was through his management.

My local Target is selling 4s and 8s, no 80s they don't even have them in yet(i tried to get one).I did see a man purchasing an 8 though.
