Hey guys. Since this is a Zune HD website design and I'd like to get it some attention on both critique and inquiry, I thought I'd post it here instead of the website or designers corner forums. I put this together afew days ago, wanted to know what you guys thought of the content design and the idea of this first concept design. I'd love to put this kind of site together and run it, but I'm more interested in selling the template and the idea to someone who's really into doing this kind of thing. Since its a new market and the revenue potential and exposure is high, I wanna give first crack to someone here at Zune Boards. Let me know what you think. You might also get a kick out of content itself

All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

Sir, you seem to have the wrong information there. It seems that you have the zuneHD sales at 150,000 in three weeks when it is in fact, sir....*puts pinky near the corner of my mouth*
1 million units.
I wish

looks pretty good, pretty standard. It's a run of the mill layout, pretty full of good meaty content. Without being able to click around it, it's hard to tell some aspects, I wonder what software would be behind it? Pretty much any general CMS could run it (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc) from the looks.
Footer could use a little work, seems... unbalanced.
Ads are sparse, which while good design wise, many web admins insist on filling the entire page with spam ads, so maybe a few more spots for a compromise.
Oddly enough, that layout might almost have too much data, it seems to almost seem intimidating to me, so perhaps upping some paddings and margins here and there (and definitely make it fluid width, nothing there suggests it should be fixed)
It sorta has a more mainstream feel than most of the current Zune sites, they all feel like you have to be willing to join a Zune cult to be active at, this has a more 'engadget, gizmodo' general interest feel.
Honestly I would consider branching it out to be more of a "MS Media site" that also does stuff on the 360 and Media Server and Windows 7, and especially bringing them together, especially considering what I have found while with zb, that Zune News is flood or famine. There's a ton of news, or there's none at all, which isn't good for a website as you want people who come every other day just to check out the news, and not be reading "So... some guy said this thing that some guy who knows a guy thinks the Zune might have a flux capacitor"...
So yeah, the concept looks good, the hard part is staying with the concept and making sure you don't get too over-focused, or too cultish, and make sure include a lot of reviews and synergy pieces (and save a lot of nuts for winter).
And since you said you weren't planning on running it yourself, most of this advice/opionion (not that I'm a success story to give advice) is pretty general.

My site, my personal blog which I rarely update and use as a training ground? Not much, mostly friends and family.
You're trying to say what? I should just say "lol cool" because I'm not Kevin Rose? He asked for opinions, I gave mine.
I think he was just curious about how much traffic your site gets and did not want the question to be interpreted as if he was saying it like "Well how much traffic does your site get if you know so much?"

I interpreted it as being hostile due to "(In total non arshole tone of voice.)"
