...But remember, pirating music is wrong (unless it's "free" content).

Does it then just vanish or does it go to the inbox? Do you have to delete what is left?

Mine stayed in the Library, just when you tried to open it the message would come up about not having the rights. Then you could either click to visit the site to get the rights (AKA Zune) or not. I did not play with it much longer I deleted the files so I can not tell you if it deletes them automatically or not.

Sorry I did not answer your previous question, but I did not feel it merited a response. Sorry, it still doesn't

not that I condone piracy, but can you burn the downloaded songs from the pass onto a CD, or do they only sync to the Zune?

Songs I've bought from iTunes, or other music services, I usually just burn them to CD and then rip them back to MP3 to get rid of the DRM. Might lose a bit of quality, but at least it is DRM free.

If you PURCHASE the song, then you can burn it to a CD. Otherwise, no. If you're really that concerned, try a program like TuneBite.

What exactly happens when your pass expires? DO they delete your songs from your pc or what? Do they block the filepath or what?

I think the Zune program uses its list of songs that you have downloaded to verify which filepaths it needs to block and doesn't allow you from playing them after that. Because of this, I have moved the music files out of my "My Music" folder and put them in a protected folder on my C drive.

I'll keep you updated on whether this works or not.

I haven't used this or even gotten my Zune yet, but 30 Gigs is a bit to fill up for me, so if I downloaded the songs from the Zune marketplace, then converted them to mp3 using AFreeConverter from http://www.etexchange.com/home/ripper.htm , would that get rid of the DRM?

that's not cool, I think if you pay for something you should be able to keep it.

How about putting them on to a CD or a mp3 CD and then reriping them, would that work?

You aren't buying the songs, you are renting them.

ALL subscription music will expire if you don't pay.
