Anyone have a problem with albums splitting into two?
I'm on the Zune Pass trial and I'm about two days into it, and for the most part I think it's a pretty neat deal. I'm enjoying discovering new music with it. But there's one annoyance I keep coming across: when I go to my collection, I see some of my albums split up into two icons. When I double check on them, I find that the title of the album is slightly different on each one. For example, whenever an album says Parental Advisory, when I download and check on it it my collection, it has like, say, 4 songs listed under the album title with Parental Advisory next to it...then the rest are under the album title without Parental Advisory...meaning it splits the album into two icons. I have to go back and edit the album title to make it all go under the same icon. Also, I downloaded an album and the first 5 or so songs came out under the title, but the rest of the album came out under a misspelled album title. They all belong on the same album, but why are they split up and why are the rest grouped under a misspelled title? I would assume if I'm downloading an album, they should all end up under the same album icon...I hate going back and having to edit this stuff. I have even noticed song titles being misspelled, and again, I have to go edit them. If these are professional downloads, I should not have to be editing anything on the album info...it's not like I'm downloading from a P2P program. Come on. I would expect it for that, but not on this.
And I also find some CDs are missing songs...they'll have like 10 songs, and one or two of them will be for purchase only. That's really irritating, as I like being able to download whole albums, not singles. And some artists' most popular songs are unavailable but their other less popular crap is. I don't like that.
But overall, I think I will stick with it ($14.99 isn't too bad for this) but I hope I won't have to be editing album info all the time...I won't sync it to my Zune and have the same album come up under two album titles with slightly different names, or with misspelled songs.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
