After 14 days, the music that you've downloaded will expire also. You need a program called fairuse4wm to remove the DRM (license), Google it. Also, you can only remove the DRM if you still have the 14 day trial.

The music downloaded with the new marketplace is drm free. Im pretty sure all you have to do is move it to a different folder.

DRM free music only apply to certain MP3 or WMA purchased with the new marketplace. It has DRM if you have a subscription plan.

Yeah, here's what it says on the website:

Zune® Marketplace is loaded with more than 3 million songs, albums, DRM-free MP3s, music videos, audio/video podcasts and more! Your store is always open and just a mouse click away.

DRM-free MP3s. Choose from a selection of more than 1 million DRM-free MP3s. Download to play on your Zune device or any other MP3 player.

Download or subscription? Downloading songs and music videos a la carte from Zune Marketplace is simple using Microsoft® Points, which work across both Zune and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace. Or choose a Zune Pass subscription, which gives you access to unlimited music downloads from millions of available songs for a flat rate of $14.99 per month. (DRM-free MP3s, videos, and some songs are not available via Zune Pass.) Fill your device with new music whenever you want and keep those songs as long as you keep your Zune Pass up to date. A Zune Pass can be used on up to three PCs and three Zune devices, making it the perfect choice for families and music lovers.

Ahh its a trick so your best bet would be to pay 14.99 a month for Microsoft points and then buy the music, then at any time if you wish to not buy music you can keep it.

Or you could just un-DRM the songs and not having to buy it

bobbythebomber's right, the subscription deal is a heck of a lot better for people who want to
a) renew their subscription but have unlimited song downloading
b) plan to undrm their songs

You're download from a legit site.

Fairuse should only take a few seconds. It doesn't transcode the file.

I suggest FairUse4WM, personally I was going to use my zune pass. Download a heck of alot music, un-drm it. Then enjoy my free music! But I could never get it to work...and from what I've read it's the best to take the drm off your drm music.
So yeah I got the program tunebite and soundtaxi. They don't take the drm license off the music though. Instead they make a copy of it while it plays on your computers sound card. So it's all legal!!! They do cost some $$$$ though. I suggest Tunebite, in my experience this program does a better job at making a copy. Just google tunebite or soundtaxi and you'll find the site to download it and try the free trial if you want. Also to buy it. By the way soundtaxi is cheaper.
