Default The Monthly Zune Pass...

ok, so i understand that with the 14 day zune pass, at the end of it all of the songs are whiped out.

but there is also a one monthly zune pass, and a three month zune pass. where you can download as much as you want before its done.

but what im wanting to know is after those two passes, the ones that you pay for (not the 14 day free one) will you get to keep everything you downloded at the end of those, or will you continually have to buy more and more passes to keep it all.

because if you lose all your songs after purchasing a 3 month all you can get pass. im sticking to buying my songs one by one

thanks to anyone who can clear this up. cant wait to get my zune

Both one month and 3 month subscription passes will have to be bought again, and again. If not, all songs downloaded will be lost.

The thing behind the pass is that you are not paying for the music itself. You are paying for the right to access the music. A lot of people have a problem with that scheme, but the way I rationalize it is that I am paying $15 a month to legally access all the music I want... That's roughly the price of buying a CD. If I were to actually purchase all of the music I have, I would be out a few hundred dollars a month.

The downside? You can't burn the tracks. If there's something you really want to burn, use TuneBite to rerecord your tracks (yes, it's less than legal, but there is next to no chance of being caught as opposed to just illegally downloading everything ).

Hope this helped you in making a decision about the pass.
