do the songs on the zune itself erase after the pass is done?
i know they become unplayable on the computer, but after the pass is done, do the stop playing on the actual zune? or can u keep playing them until you erase them?
Re: do the songs on the zune itself erease after the pass is done?
From my understanding, You get the songs, and have them on your Zune. Then your trial runs out and you can keep them on your zune until you plug in the zune again for a sync. Then it will remove them from the zune but keep them in your library, but you cant play them until you re-sign up.
Re: do the songs on the zune itself erease after the pass is done?
It is designed to erase, after the subscription is over. However, in this case, the zune software asks you if you want to update your songs. Once you update them, the DRM will come into effect.
Re: do the songs on the zune itself erease after the pass is done?
my zune pass expired (trial) and I guess i accidently synced when I was going to charge it and like 4 days ago the songs on my zune said this song expired(every track) .... >
My zune pass actually expired like 2 weeks ago... my songs are still here, and I can still play them.
i had the zune pass.
the pass expire, the songs in my computer stop to work (protected),
the songs in the zune ccontinue until one day,
they all stop to work & Say " THIS ITEM HAS EXPIER"
The somgs will not play until u buy the licens
IT'S SUCKs
What i have been doing is downloading from the marketplace with my 14day trial. (I downloaded about 400 tracks so far), once i have got them on my hard drive. Strip the DRM from them, then reimport into the zune software and delete the DRMed Version of the same song, yay.

You can also burn DRM protected songs to an Audio CD, then delete the songs from the PC and rip them off the CD again, and POOF no DRM. (at least you could last year.) does this work with Zune Marketplace music?
It works because the files are converted to .wav files to play on the CD, and wave files do not support DRM!!!

however my local gamestop stores have sold about 300. unfortunately I live in a tourist town, so many of those are probably no longer in the area.

when you try to burn zune pass songs to a cd it says you do not have burn rights. you have to buy the song(s).
