Well then I don't see how they could possibly advertise about it having such stellar battery life if it doesn't even beat the iPod Touch. I was getting all excited about bragging to iPod users about how it'll last for days on a single charge. I seem to recall, in almost every video, the person talking about the Zune HD would bring up battery life and say how the Tegra and OLED screen are such great power savers and how efficient they are... 33 hours is nothing to brag about in my opinion. Especially considering that a device that's been out for a year gets better battery life still.
That's kind of a hype killer for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm pre-ordering the 32 gig within the next week and currently trying to sell my iPod Touch, but my excitement for the battery life just got killed...
If you recall, in almost every video, the people talking about it were not from Microsoft and were just speculating on the battery life. In all of the videos that did have someone from Microsoft, they did not say the battery life would be better than everything else. You just assumed it would have incredible battery life because a lot of people that were not from Microsoft kept saying so.
Microsoft never advertised that it would have days of battery life. People just speculated that it would based on what Nvidia said about the Tegra even though they were talking about netbooks with much larger batteries.
This is a perfect example of how government propaganda works. Hear something enough times, and you will start to believe it, whether it is true or not. I know that is off-topic, but it is just something to keep in mind.

Ah, good point. I didn't think of it that way. Still a bummer, but then it was never a fact to begin with.

I still don't believe in global warming. It's all a scam to keep Al Gore relevant and to give 'scientists' more funding for 'research'. But that's also off-topic.
Did anyone ever find out if the screen is capacitive or resistive? There was a thread a while ago where people were debating whether it was and I can't find a site that says if it is or not... I'm sure it's capacitive by seeing the way it behaves but it would be nice to know.

It is definitely capacitive.

I saw that show on YouTube. They actually said humans account for less than 1% of all carbon dioxide emissions. The rest is natural like forest fires, animals, bacteria, etc.
But yeah, I just realized that it was nVidia who claimed the 20+ days of battery life and I just assumed that would carry over to the Zune HD. Silly me and my optimism...

I think I'll wait for them to release one with bigger memory.
I use every bit of my 120 gig it would be stupid to downgrade to 32 or 16 for me.
How could u possibly use all 120GB? I have the original 30GB(hoping to get the hd), and I am only using 7GB, and I have quite a few games on it and alot of music+some videos.
And don't think about a bigger hard drive for the zune hd right now. To get one with at least 60GB would require a hard drive, which would fatten the whole thing up like the current zunes.

there are 64gb flash memory available but the only thing keeping them back is the price
I can't wait to get the Zune HD, I still have my 30 GB first generation Zune, still serving me well. Once I get the HD, I'll pass the 30GB to my sis. I'm so anxious for the 15th! Onyx Black Zune GB 32GB all the way!
