its not going to. I highly doubt its like the crappy crappy backs on the ipods. Its more than likely like what is on the Zune 4's and 8's (?). If it is, then you won't have any smudging or anything.

Dude, it's not shiny, it's brushed aluminum (aluminum imitation plastic?). There's no way color will make scratches any more noticable. Plus if the front part is matte texture plastic (which it looks like it is), finger oils will show up way more on black than silver.

Yea it seems like Sept 15th is a lot more logical of a real release date, If you look at Microsoft's track record they tend to release most of there stuff on Tuesdays, donno why but MS loves Tuesdays.
Also don't know if you all caught it but Cnet had an interview with Brian Seitz of Zune, a few things were noted such as, Games and Apps will be on the zune, ZuneHD will be part of ZuneOriginals so you can get an inscribed one, and older Zunes are getting a firmware update.

Most DVDs come out on Tuesdays. Its kind of a Universal thing for releasing things in stores. Plus, September 8 is a Tuesday as well

and dude, if you happen to own a zune 4 or 8 or 80 or 120, just TRY to make scratches. seriously. you cant. plus the screen is glass, theres no way in hell you will scratch that unless you have a diamond ring. and what would you have it rub against to scratch it?
