ZuneHD - Yahoo Review - Web Browser Viewed

Yahoo Tech was able to handle the ZuneHD before release and gave it a rave review saying:

It's thin, light, and gorgeous, with super-slick menus and eye-popping video capabilities to boot

And

The 480 by 272 OLED screen is an eye-opener, as well, boasting vivid colors and deep, dark black levels. Zune users of old will be familiar with the HD's handy "twist" interface, which lets you flick up and down between main menu options, then side-to-side for submenus.

They also said that a Microsoft Rep said that " the Zune HD's menus are still being tweaked" which begs the question that there still not finished.

Cutting it a bit close are you not, Microsoft?

That is because the page is shown completely as he is typing in a web address. Once you get to the web page you want to view, you can double tap the screen to zoom in or out, and drag around the website.

well i do know one thing about microsoft and that is they can get new builds out there very quickly, I tested windows 7 and there was a new build just about every week.

And ACE, I agree. There should be Landscape browsing.

Any idea if we can download ccgames directly from zB?

Because it has an accelerometer maybe it will know when it needs to change to landscape.

looks good but i wonder if you can download stuff off the browser ..for ex imagines ... videos... or websites so that you can view them offline (no wifi)

I doubt they will. MS could get in trouble for that. (They are actually trying to not get sued)

That wouldn't happen. As licenses would have to be made as Microsoft could then download videos.

What I'm wondering now, with the combination of this awesome browser and the Social, would you be able to send anything (i.e. pictures, music, even videos) from one Zune HD to the other without any worry of distance?

That hasnt even been looked at yet. I wonder what Wifi capabilities, the Zune to Zune side of it, has changed.

when he says that, he doesnt mean flash does he? or is he reffering to a video in the internal memory?


and if you are able to download videos from the marketplace onto your zune via wifi, shouldnt it be cabable of flash as well?

Being able to download videos via WiFi and supporting Flash are two completely different things. If the browser doesn't support Flash, Flash simply will not work (until a firmware update, of course). Downloading videos over WiFi has nothing to do with flash.
