ZuneHD Does in Fact Use the Nvidia Tegra Chip, Supports Flash
PC Perspective has confirmed what was already rumored to be powering the ZuneHD - the Nvidia Tegra chip.

Well PC Perspective can [confirm]: the Zune HD does in fact use NVIDIA's Tegra processor. I actually learned this fact from some NVIDIA staffers over at Computex in early June but I guess I just didn't realize how "news worthy" the information was. No longer do you have to worry about "rumors" on the subject - Tegra has its first major design win.
NVIDIA Tegra likely won the design with impressive statistics like its ability to decode a video stream using just 150 mWatts of power and output audio at only 20 mWatts.
Hopefully they go with adobe because with adobe flash 10 it supports hd video, 3d graphics and stuff, which would make sense with tegra being able to output hd and do the 3d. Does silverlight do all that? im not sure, i didnt even know it was released out of beta versions
I think MS has a real winner with them. A real quality product. It seems that in the last year MS has been putting more quality stuff out like Win 7, ZHD, And Project Natal.

Reason: Thanks Dil
MS is listening!!!! i already have my 250-300 stashed away ....
now are they going to upgrade the wifi to IEEE 802.11n ? (stream hd flash videos)
It might be too early for that, I think they just showed a prototype IEEE 802.11n for mobile/cellular devices, but that was a couple of months ago, since then I haven't heard of it hitting production yet. I think it was slated for a 1H10 release?
It's the ability of the chip while sipping power. Did you catch the part about:
"its ability to decode a video stream using just 150 mWatts of power and output audio at only 20 mWatts."
That's pretty amazing!
i remember something like that. i didnt spend much time reading it, but yeah, now i remember. i dont even know what a mWatt is other than im assuming it stands for millawatt and its reallly good. if the zune could play xbox arcade games, i would laugh at apple.
ok, so i get this adobe, but im not all that sure about the silverlight thing. does it play videos on it? like youtube, or google video, etc.?
