Yeah, but is it because of slow sales?
I mean, are they always getting a constant stock of zune 80?
I mean, I recall that they didn't make anymore.
Not that places still can't sell them. But once it's sold, it's sold.
Just asking though.
They probably have them left over from when they were being produced, but the Zune 120 is not available there, so it is not really "discontinued" at that location. Otherwise, they would be offering the Zune 120 with the Zune 80 at a reduced price. (The Zune 80 there is the same price as the Zune 120 at other places.) I suppose it depends on what you consider "discontinued". Discontinued being manufactured, yes. Discontinued being sold as regular retail, no.

Call me crazy but would a touchscreen Zune really have to be anything more than a software upgrade? Seems like any monitor/screen can be touchscreen with the right os and application.
it's doubtful. Hard drives have powerful magnets in them that would affect the touchscreen's effectiveness. It's more likely going to be SSD at 16 - 32 Gb capacities (possibly 64 - but don't hold your breath)
Dang , I guess when I get it I can just put music that I listen to often

You are crazy. The only similar thing between touch screens and regular LCD screens is that they display things. That has nothing to do with touch.

I have a Zune 30, and I have a lot of space left. I would definitely get a Zune touch even if it only has 32 GB. That is plenty for me.

It seems we are all calling you crazy.
As for the touch screen Zune, if one came out with a 64GB or higher capacity, with a UI and OS better then the Itouch i would be the first to spend the big bucks to get one!
...after saying that, my confidence is not with Microsoft on actually producing one.
What about the touch thing Microsoft did with Mitsubishi where it is multi-touch from behind the player. It would have to be thin where the screen is and when the back is touched the screen becomes more transparent, allowing you to see where your fingers are. It was on here a while ago.
Yeah I agree. This forum has always been pretty friendly. And I don't think it's very nice to call someone stupid. Just because they can navigate a forum doesn't mean that they know touchscreen technology.
That is incorrect... The closest Wal-Mart to me sells the Zune 80, and not the Zune 120. (Oshawa, Ontario)
not as of yesterday (03/15/09) all that's left is the 120GB bundle with the A/V kit for $250, i talked to the people in Electronics and they dont even know when they are getting any more zunes... even with my discount that bundle is still a tad too expensive right now...

It was a while ago now that I was there. They probably finally sold out of the old Zunes.
