yeah but can this one new blue zune 16 compete with the 9 new ipod nano 16gb's? NO. nano will sell waaaaay more. only 5 percent of the u.s. poputation will even know about the fm song tagging feature by the end of this year. apple has the mp3 player industry in a chokehold, holding nintey something percent of the market. i'm starting to think that the folks at microsoft are overpaid, apple thought up that "genius" feature in a day, they copied the zune down to it's screen, and then added some. zune really needs to do something awesome to be successful. my advice: tie it to xbox as much as you can. (i don't know, maybe microsoft could give xbox live subscribers a free zune pass or something?) make the zune available in more colors, make the zune website sexy, if u2 advertizes ipod, get weezer to do zune ads. microsoft isn't innovating at all. come on, at least copy apple a bit more.
I like the idea of more Xbox tie-ins (still have yet to get an Xbox though >.<) and allowing maybe a package for XBL and Zune Pass would be a good idea. Maybe for $100 you could get a year's worth of both?

Indeed... Now the only thing Apple has over Microsoft is the iPod Touch and the iPhone, but it is very likely that Microsoft will be making devices competitive to those in the future.

wow... this just seriously blows apple away... so much so, that apple had to make a new ipod nano, which is basically a flash zune, but a circle instead of the squircle... this just shows how scarred apple really is, that they had to quickly throw out there a new device right before a competitor has something better... even thow the new nano is really nice, i LOVE Zune! plus, the new nao is just a rip-off of the second-gen nano... ZUNE ALL THE WAY! (and finally i can tell the time! lol)
