The only thing I like is the ability to tag songs you haven't heard of before and Audiobook support.
All those updates are just Microsoft trying to make you pay $15/month for a Zune pass. Never have and never will. They can keep trying though.

Meh, it's nice to see an update soon, and don't get me wrong, the new features are nice and all(finally a bloody clock!) but I was really hoping to see more from MS about some MS-specific games for us... was I the only one hoping to see the games area open up a bit more in this vid?
Hopefully the update delivers me a nice games surprise... or just that it already did and I was too busy to hear about it.

Also, it is true. Microsoft added these features with hopes of getting more $$$. If that was not Microsoft's goal, then they would have made the market place feature a web browser where we can download from napster, rhapsody, or..... In the end, this market place connection was created so that you buy songs at an instant. The same goes for the FM tagging. If you think microsft is not trying to make $$$ from this update, then you need to think again.
However, I do agree with you on some parts. Stuff like the games, and clocks are awsome update to enhance users expirience.

Tuesday can't come quick enough, bring on the updates. It's nice to hear that they are still working on making the Live Marketplace and Zune Marketplace one in the same.
Just saw the video about the new Zune's and software features.It feels to me That they are going for cheap and easy.I love my Zune and I give Microsoft credit for their apparent continuing policy of offering older Zunes the upgrades to new features.However, I didn't hear anything exciting.I would like to see better radio reception,I like the radio,but it is way to underpowered.No news about movies or games for the device,although I really don't care about games,I would just like to see them offered.Movies and better selection of TV is something I would like to see.I would also like to see less "not available"on my Zine Pass.I do give them credit for the selection they have,Some of my favorite music genres are not that popular,for instance Amaricana,Roots,Cajun and I am pretty pleased to see the fairly good selection I can get at the marketplace,but even some of the more popular artists and songs in these and other other Genres are tagged "not available".I also think it's way past time for the device to be internet friendly,come on the device is way better than the ipod,don't get shown up by this omission.
yeah but can this one new blue zune 16 compete with the 9 new ipod nano 16gb's? NO. nano will sell waaaaay more. only 5 percent of the u.s. poputation will even know about the fm song tagging feature by the end of this year. apple has the mp3 player industry in a chokehold, holding nintey something percent of the market. i'm starting to think that the folks at microsoft are overpaid, apple thought up that "genius" feature in a day, they copied the zune down to it's screen, and then added some. zune really needs to do something awesome to be successful. my advice: tie it to xbox as much as you can. (i don't know, maybe microsoft could give xbox live subscribers a free zune pass or something?) make the zune available in more colors, make the zune website sexy, if u2 advertizes ipod, get weezer to do zune ads. microsoft isn't innovating at all. come on, at least copy apple a bit more.
