Joy Division Limited Edition Zune

In conjunction with Genius Entertainment's June 10 release of the Joy Division DVD, Microsoft will indeed issue a run of Zunes all done up in Peter Saville's famed design. Saddest mp3 player ever!

In other Joy Division merchandise news, Rhino will issue a single-disc best-of from the masters of mope on April 29 in the U.S. Oh, and Control, that other recent Joy Division flick, is due on DVD June 3 from the Miram Collection/The Weinstein Company.

Though I have never heard of this band before, I am still excited to hear more special edition zunes are releasing.

Wow, Microsoft is ridiculous. If only they would take the time spent making all the special editions and used it to improve the software.

Agreed. I've never heard of this band. The pattern is interesting, though.

Joy Division was an English punk band who are known for bringing the synth to punk. Kind of lost legends.

They actually got pretty electronic, which is funny because the lead singer had epilepsy.

I'm sure they're are completely different departments doing this and they are putting all their time trying to improve the software.

On topic: They only changed the colors of the middle button, heh. Looks worst in my opinion.

It doesn't really matter. The opportunity cost that results from all these special editions is still incurred.

I would point out that Joy Division was the predecessor of New Order...but then I realized that many would have the same reaction's they did initially..."Who?"

a mate gave me a joy division cd back in high school, it was a burnt copy of this album, i listened the crap out of it

i don't know if i'd want it engraved or whatever onto my zune, i'd be too worried about it getting messed up cause goddamn do i love that artwork
