You may have heard there was a delay on the the new Zune, but looks like there were so many people to order the new Red Zune 80Gb that some are getting delay messages up to 7-10 days!

Some people are getting this message:

Due to an unprecedented demand for the new Red Zune 80 GB on Zune Originals, your order may take longer than expected to ship. We expect that your order will ship in the next 7-10 days and arrive before Valentine’s Day.

When your order is on its way, we will send you a shipping confirmation with a link for tracking.

We know you are looking forward to receiving your Red Zune 80 GB and we are doing our best to quickly overcome this delay and get your order to you.

I'm not surprised at all by the delay. People have really been wanting another color, and I figured it would go like wild....which it has.

I want a blue or clear Zune!!!

According to IHaveAZune Microsoft will be refunding the amount of the valentines day Zune and still shipping it to you. So basically they know they screwed up and people are getting free Zune's as a result.

I think that's pretty damn awesome compensation.

It is true. I am getting a full refund and my zune. I ordered on January 16 and still do not have my zune.They are only refunding the money to those that ordered theirs the 15/16/17 of January and had not received it by last Friday I believe.
