Steve Jobs is just ignorant of his competition. He thinks that he is the leader in everything that he does and that nothing will ever change that. He doesn't even need to watch the market. Personally I know 5 people with Zunes. All 5 of these Zunes replaced previous iPods and all 5 owners said that they'd never go back to an iPod now. It's a better device and if more people would give it a chance then Apple would find themselves in some serious trouble.

I don't see why people constantly have to bash other products, especially when they really are better. Steve Jobs should be spending more time on his products so he can compete with the Zune.

It's not suprising but it's very reminiscent of today's politicians who spend more time bashing each other than trying to convince us that they are the one for the job. Apple has definitely cornered the market and it's probably near impossible to wrestle it away from them considering the stranglehold they have on it, but you gotta start somewhere right?

This is ridiculous... Sure, they're rivals, but that's no reason to directly attack Zune. Apple probably lost a lot of followers thanks to that speech.

Heh Steve is just a stupid d*p**** who is afraid of everything going back to MS for a superior music player.

If all the Apple ads(Steve's mouth, Mac ads, etc.) wouldn't ALWAYS attack opponents, and instead say why that person/their product is good, people wouldn't be switching sides because of some dip****.

Then again, we wouldn't have Bush as president because he has no good qualities to talk about. :P

I do agree that Apple has a major problem with advertising but it works. You've never seen a Dell or HP ad that shows the problems with Apple. They just show what they do right. Apple just works at showing why Windows is bad. They don't show off any features in the commercials about there OS. They typically don't even show what the OS looks like except briefly in the Mac Book Air ad.

I saw this and laughed actually. I mean there was no reason for him to lash out like this, but he did. I really do think he is feeling the pressure from the Zune, but he also knows he still has a HUGE take on the market over Microsoft. Let's just hope as time goes on and the Zune team keeps releasing new updates..that market dwidles even more. I still have my 80gb iPod, but have been thinking about selling it and buying a 80gb Zune because I love my 30gb Zune so much.
