It may be a bit premature but...my podcasts didn't autmatically unsbuscribe either!

For me, podcast subscription support was very much anticipated. But it is truly a pain to have to go back and resubscribe once a day. Despite the work around posted by _Zach on Zune.net, I had to resubscribe every day.

It may turn out that the subscription problem was with the firmware causing the behavior rather than the software. If this is fixed, I'm going to be extremely happy.

That is really a matter of your personal taste. Think of podcasts more as talk radio programs or short video clips that are updated regularly.

When you browse the Marketplace, you will find quite a few categories and should be able to find a decent selection. Just keep in mind that if it isn't in the Marketplace, you can still subscribe from within the software.

For humor, I enjoy the Don & Mike show. It is a syndicated radio show that probably targets men 25-45.

For games, I listen to Major Nelson from Xbox as well as X-Play (from G4) for reviews.

Woot! has a good podcast for a little early morning humor. It also tells you what is up for sale for the day along with the price in the description.

My History Can Beat Up Your Politics has been interesting for those politically minded or those with an interest in social sciences.

I just started checking out Decoder Ring Theater which has radio shows in the sytle of the old Shadow radio serials.

I have also found podcasts for quite a few of my hobbies including comic books (from my local shop), movies (still looking for a good trailer podcast), history, and technology.

The Best of YouTube is also pretty interesting. Find it in the Marketplace and see if you can download the Laser Magician episode. These are G-rated so no worries about picking up some of the more questionable YouTube offerings.

I would suggest you simply sample a few. When one looks interesting, hit the download button from the Marketplace and it will download that one episode for you. Check it out and if you like it, simply subscribe.
